We felt God calling our family to leave our previous church of 9 years in the Spring of 2021.
We had driven past EBC for several years and had always felt a nudge to visit.  So as we
began our search for a new church home, Elizabeth Baptist was the first place we chose.
What we thought would be a long, tedious journey, turned out to be not so tedious after all.
Our first morning here, we met Eddie Clay outside of the sanctuary.  We told him who we
were and that we were first time visitors.  He so kindly replied, "welcome home," and sure
enough, he was correct.  From our very first visit, we knew the Lord had so perfectly
ordained our steps and led us to the place where He wanted us to serve.
Not long after joining, we were plugged into the Becatti's Sunday school class, a class that
studies the scripture with intention and truly lives out what it means to be in Christian
community with one another.   As Pastor Rit says, we have found our "2 am friends."
Our kids have also seamlessly blended into life here at Elizabeth, and have gotten involved
with the wonderful children's ministry.  From Sunday school, to children's choir, to VBS and
Wednesday night activities, our girls just love coming to church and being apart of it all.
We have been blessed to be able to take part in both the men's and women's ministries at
EBC.  What a beautiful thing it is to come alongside other believers and grow with one
another in fellowship and faith.  We also enjoy serving on other various committees, such as
the decorating committee, the transportation committee, and helping out where we're
needed with things like vacation Bible school.  We are also involved with Community Bible
Study that is hosted by EBC on Tuesdays. We're grateful to be apart of a church that has so
many outlets for sharing the gospel with our community.
We praise God and give Him all the glory for leading us to Elizabeth and for how He has
moved in our family's life.  He's grown us in our walks with Him through the teaching we
receive here, and He's also blessed us with many amazing brothers and sisters in Christ who
we feel so fortunate to know.  We feel strongly that a solid, scripture filled church is such an
important pillar in a believers life.  As Hebrews 10 tells us, "Let us hold fast the confession of
our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.  And let us consider how to stir
up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of
some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near
."  We
want to encourage anyone who may not have a home church, to come and join us here at
EBC.  The Lord is moving and doing great and wonderful things through His faithful
servants.
