Susan Johnson
The Women’s Ministry Team did an outstanding job at the Fall brunch in September. When you entered the door, you were greeted by a smiling face welcoming you to the event. The same sweet spirit continued throughout the brunch. There seemed to be an
excitement in the room as we gathered and sat around tables
enjoying Betsy’s delectables. Seated at my table were two ladies I had not met before, but we quickly engaged in conversation. Across the room there women of all ages and stages of life who talked and enjoyed themselves also. Through the music, special speaker, and prayer time, we were encouraged and uplifted spiritually. Women’s Ministry events can be a great way to evangelize and disciple women from our church and our community.
From my perspective, the Women’s Ministry Brunch accomplished the following purposes: reached women with the gospel of Jesus Christ; encouraged women
spiritually to apply God’s Word to daily life; connected women of all ages and seasons of life; worshipped God through music; learned of God’s love and faithfulness through the testimony of the speaker and Scripture; connected women of all ages and seasons of life; and provided
women the opportunity to use their gifts and talents to serve others.
As a new member of EBC, I am excited about the future of Women’s Ministry events that will give us the opportunity to unite together to glorify God.
