About a year ago in anticipation of retirement we moved from Annapolis, MD to Shelby to live closer
to one of our children.  The decision to move was not easy, made more difficult by leaving the church
and church family that we loved for 23 years.  However, little did we know, that the Lord in His
wisdom and mercy had already chosen the next wonderful church for us.

The very first Sunday that we were in Shelby our daughter, Stephanie who lives here, suggested we
visit EBC as she knew they had a choir which was something we both loved being a part of in our
previous church.  On our second Sunday worshipping at EBC, immediately after the service concluded
a dear gentleman turned around, introduced himself and told us we should consider joining the choir.
Two weeks later we were able to attend our first choir rehearsal.  We were welcomed with open
arms, and instantly felt at home with the choir family.  Weekly, we look forward to going to choir and
being a part of this community of believers who share in our love of worshipping our Lord through
music.  Last fall we had the same wonderful experience as we joined the Bell Choir.

We are so thankful to the Lord, to be a part of the music ministry at EBC. Supporting praise and
worship with the congregation, has been a tremendous blessing to us.  In addition, through the music
ministry we have made new and dear friends, and know that EBC is where God wants us to be, to
grow in our walk with the Lord, and to serve Him.  To God be the Glory!
